Michelle
Michelle is a lifelong adventurer who thrives on the discovery and awe that only Mother Nature can provide. With all 50 states under her belt and several Canadian provinces, she has explored every corner of North America, savoring the unique beauty each location offers. Her travels are a blend of connecting with family—Illinois, Maryland, and Michigan hold a special place in her heart—and seeking out the raw, untouched beauty of nature. When asked which state was the most enjoyable, Michelle smiles and answers, “It depends on how you define enjoyable.” For her, Maine in the spring is a favorite because it fulfills her desire to witness the awakening of Mother Earth in all her glory, without the distraction of crowds. Whether she’s backpacking solo or living on the road with her husband, Michelle finds joy in the discovery, the serenity, and the simple pleasures that come from being truly immersed in the natural world.
ALLEN
Allen, a self-proclaimed “boy from the suburbs,” has undergone a remarkable transformation since embarking on this journey. Although he was a novice camper when he first set out, he has since become adept at setting up and breaking down campsites with ease. His travels have taken him to some of North America’s most awe-inspiring locations, including Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, the Colorado River, and the Hoover Dam. These experiences have not only deepened his appreciation for the grandeur of nature but also provided opportunities for personal growth and challenges. One of the standout moments for Allen was conquering an underrated “moderate” hike in New Hampshire, a feat that tested his limits and left him with a profound sense of accomplishment. Along the way, Allen has come to experience divinity through his connection with nature and the transformative power of travel. His journey has been one of discovery, growth, and newfound appreciation for the world around him.
